The results on “My Fitness Pal” yesterday were fairly reassuring. It was a big day in terms of visiting friends, eating, drinking and being merry – but with the 5km run in the morning, I managed to end the day with the approximate calorie balance only being slightly over target.
This gives me a lot of hope for other days having been under target, and a realistic prospect of getting back to Australia in 3 weeks time without too much excess baggage, and with the fitness and running not having suffered too much!
Can’t wait to see how that pans out – for now it’s a case of keeping an eye on things, and now allowing indulgences to get too much out of control.
parkrun
i was hoping to hit a local parkrun today, but the weather continues to be awful, and the course is flooded.
hopefully get there in a couple of weeks… definitely want to get a UK parkrun done while I’m here!
so today is now a rest day, and a “let my running gear dry out from yesterday’s hail storm” day.
reckon that means I’ll be planning a nice long run for tomorrow π
Keep going Gaz π Don’t forget, you will be burning more calories due to the cooler weather π Don’t stress mate just try and be consistant, do pushups when you get a spare minute etc. π
Thanks mate – and a timely reminder about push-ups and other body weight exercises – I’ve let those slide in the past 2 weeks. Will have to fix that π
