I was looking around the ‘net this morning, trying to find something out about the particular make/model of the rowing machine I use at the gym. I didn’t find what I wanted, however I did stumble on a fantastic article that covers some of the science of exercise, in a reasonably non-technical manner.
Obviously the main thrust of this article (how to do a 2km selection test) is more relevant to elite competitive athletes, however I found the overall description of the way energy is produced and used to be very interesting and educational. From a personal point of view I think I need to warm up and down a little better than I am currently doing. Might help reduce the “jelly legs” and general feeling of having every drop of energy sucked out of me š
So anyway, the article can be found here. Enjoy!
